How this role supports our work
In this role, you will support stakeholders across the organisation with a strong focus on our Programs and State and Territory Operations to enable them in making data-driven decisions by providing analysis, reporting, and dashboards to address a variety of business needs.
The role is responsible for supporting our efforts via the development and delivery of contract reporting, data analysis, improving reporting capability, data quality, data engineering, data mining and process automation.
The role is also responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, developing analytical and reporting process automation to drive efficiencies, creating documentation for transfer of knowledge, and peer review to ensure only accurate, high-quality deliverables leave the Analytics and Reporting team.
What you will do day to day
- Partner with Programs and State & Territory Operations teams to understand reporting needs and deliver insights that inform service delivery, planning, and performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that track program outcomes, operational metrics, and contractual obligations.
- Support the development and automation of contract and grant reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of performance data.
- Work with stakeholders to improve data quality and completeness, including developing data validation processes and tools.
- Analyse program, client and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating findings into practical recommendations for program and leadership teams.
- Build and maintain efficient data pipelines and workflows using SQL and related tools to support reliable and scalable reporting.
- Support the ongoing improvement of data governance, systems and processes, ensuring consistent definitions, methodologies and best practices across teams.
- Provide peer review, documentation, and knowledge sharing to build team capability and maintain high-quality analytical outputs.
- Collaborate across Red Cross divisions to embed data-driven decision-making in program design, evaluation and continuous improvement.

- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all reports, dashboards, and data solutions are accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights that inform decisions, improve services, and demonstrate impact.
- Experience developing robust reporting and analytical solutions using Power BI, SQL, and related tools - with a focus on automation, quality assurance, and documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling clear translation of technical concepts to non-technical audiences and effective influence on data practices.
- Growth mindset with a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement (in support of both organisation and own professional development)
- Ability to influence stakeholders to improve processes and data collection methods.
