I am a fine art photographer and will be working in Vienna End of Juli

Looking for 1–2 people in Vienna for an ongoing fine-art portrait project.

Some of my favourite portraits have started with complete strangers.

Not professional models. Not people with years of experience in front of a camera. Just ordinary people whose presence, character or story caught my attention.

This project explores what happens when a portrait session becomes a conversation rather than a performance.

The photographs focus on natural light, atmosphere, visual storytelling and the small moments that emerge when somebody gradually becomes comfortable in front of the camera. The goal is not to create a perfect image, but to create honest ones.

No modelling experience is required.

In fact, many of the people I photograph have never participated in a portrait session before. You do not need to know how to pose or perform. The process is guided, relaxed and adapted to your experience level.

Every collaboration begins with a conversation.

Before any photographs are made, we discuss expectations, ideas, locations and boundaries. Nothing changes on the day that has not been discussed beforehand. The process is transparent, collaborative and based on mutual trust.

Projects may include:

• Natural-light portrait sessions

• Environmental portraits in meaningful locations

• Visual storytelling projects

• Fine-art studies of light, atmosphere and character

• Longer-term photographic stories developed over multiple sessions

Some participants are interested in artistic collaboration. Others would like to gain confidence in front of a camera, build a first portrait portfolio or simply experience a professional photo session in a supportive environment.

Compensation typically ranges from €50–150 per hour depending on the project, preparation and session duration.

After initial contact, I am happy to share a portfolio and examples of previous projects so you can get a better sense of the approach and atmosphere.
