Arbeitsbeschreibung
In der Abteilung VTM Software & IoT wird die Simulationssoftware KULI für das Thermalmanagement von Fahrzeugen entwickelt. Derzeit ist die Software vollständig auf Windows ausgerichtet und besteht aus einer grafischen Benutzeroberfläche sowie einem Rechenkern. Um zukünftig automatisierte, parallele und effiziente Simulationen in großem Umfang zu ermöglichen, soll der Rechenkern nach Linux portiert werden. Ziel dieser Masterarbeit ist es, ein tragfähiges Konzept zu entwickeln, wie der bestehende Code in C++, C# und C++/CLI – gegebenenfalls unter Einbindung moderner KI-Tools – systematisch nach Linux übertragen werden kann.
Betreut wird die Arbeit vom Institut für Software Systems Engineering der JKU Linz (Prof. Paul Grünbacher).
Deine Aufgaben
Analyse der bestehenden Softwarearchitektur sowie der verwendeten Sprachen, Bibliotheken und Schnittstellen
Identifikation besonders kritischer Codebereiche mit hohem Portierungsaufwand
Entwicklung geeigneter Lösungsansätze für die Portierung kritischer Komponenten
Ausarbeitung eines Gesamtkonzepts für eine möglichst automatisierte und reproduzierbare Portierung des Rechenkerns
Das bringst du mit
Gute Kenntnisse in C++ und C#
Grundlegendes Verständnis von Softwarearchitekturen sowie plattformübergreifender Entwicklung
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Windows- und Linux-Umgebungen
Analytisches Denkvermögen und Interesse an komplexen technischen Zusammenhängen
Selbstständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise sowie Teamfähigkeit
Weitere Informationen
Für das Verfassen einer Masterarbeit bekommst du ein monatliches Honorar von brutto € 700,-. Für die Bearbeitung der Diplomarbeit ist es notwendig, fallweise vor Ort im ECS in St. Valentin zu arbeiten, wofür ein Arbeitsplatz im ECS zur Verfügung gestellt wird.
