Your personal scope:
As a university assistant praedoc at the Department of Economic and Social History, you will do research and teaching in the field of economic history of the 19th and 20th centuries and participate in the research cluster of the faculty and the doctoral school ("Economy and Society from a Historical-Cultural Studies Perspective").
This is what you do in concrete terms:
You will be actively involved in research, teaching and administration, which means:
- Independent teaching (to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement) at the BA and MA level
- Participation in events and programmes in the field of economic and social history of the 19th and 20th centuries as well as in university administrative tasks
- Further academic qualification (dissertation, publications, conference participation, etc. ) is envisaged
- We expect you to conclude your dissertation agreement within 12–18 months
This is part of your personality:
- Completed master's degree in history
- Well-founded, verifiable knowledge of economic and social history
- Dissertation project in the field of economic history of the 19th and 20th centuries, preferably on a topic of financial history
- Knowledge of economic concepts and methods or willingness to acquire this knowledge
- Organizational competence and willingness to work in the field of economic and social history of the 19th and 20th centuries
- Ability and willingness to communicate research results to the public
- Communication and teamwork skills

Model 3:
The duration of the contract for employment is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-renewal within the first 12 months.
