Our AI TaskForce team located in Vienna invites applications for an internship. Our AI TaskForce is passionately advancing the internal AI landscape to drive innovation and efficiency within AIT. A primary focus lies in developing assistive AI tools that enhance workflows and foster knowledge exchange, empowering AIT’s researchers and staff to leverage AI technologies effectively in their work. In addition, we support organisation-wide AI capability building.

As part of our team, you will contribute to the development of a modern data platform for AI, data-driven research, and scientific reproducibility. Hereby, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and deepen your understanding of data governance, traceability, reproducibility, scalable data engineering, and sustainable technologies while learning from experienced researchers and engineers in an innovative environment.

• You will support the development of a data platform for scientific reproducibility and AI applications.
• With guidance from our experienced team members, you will learn and apply data governance concepts such as metadata management, traceability, provenance, lineage, and FAIR data principles.
• You will help us to design and implement data pipelines for large-scale scientific and AI datasets.
• You will support reproducible machine learning workflows, including experiment tracking and versioning concepts, while expanding your understanding of AI development practices.

• You will gain practical insights into technologies and practices related to data engineering, automation, CI/CD, and MLOps.
• You will contribute to sustainable and reusable software components for research and innovation projects.
• You will collaborate closely with experienced researchers, engineers, and domain experts and learn from real-world scientific and AI use cases.
