Scientist / Senior Technician
Analytical Science Lab

Duties and responsibilities

Perform analytical development activities and analytical characterization of raw materials, intermediate products and final dosage forms (including stability).

Identify and characterize key material properties of active drug substance, excipients and drug product.

Develop, validate and implement analytical methods to support product development and advanced manufacturing for range of products including solid, semi-solid and liquid types.

Report to Analytical Science Manager, Scientific Project Lead and / or Head of Technical Operations regarding operational issues that occur during experimental execution.

Oversee the transfer of methods to the manufacturing sites, ensuring their implementation to verify that products comply with quality requirements and adhere to regulatory standards.

Ensure data generated from all experimental work is available and recorded correctly and according to Good Documentation Practices

Define strategies to address quality related objectives and recommend methods and specifications used to monitor pharmaceutical materials and/or formulated products

Write and keep up to date Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Analytical Science Lab

Follow all agreed RCPE working procedures, including completion of all analytical test analysis, equipment log books, Standard Operating Procedures and safety procedures

Completion of technical reports and contribute for scientific publications
Requirements
-
A technical or natural sciences University degree (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Technical Chemistry, Pharmacy or related) with relevant experience in analytical chemistry labs (2-5 years).

Hands-on experience in HPLC/UPLC as well as in UV-VIS Spectroscopy method development.

Knowledge in dissolution development as an advantage.

Interest and experience in performing top-level and target-oriented research at the interface of basic science and industrial application.

Professional conduct and communication skills in dealing with international clients, partners and colleagues.
