Disorganised chaos

Pros

Acceptable total package. Access to useful healthcare app. Good benefits -cinema tickets etc. On the whole, my peers were great people who want to do a good job for Asda. Regular sessions are held different topics inc menopause, neuro-diversity, etc

Cons

From the outset, my employment with Asda was chaotic and difficult. Asda have a high staff turnover, which leads to a loss of knowledge amongst the teams and increased workload. Processes can be difficult to understand and guides rarely exist. Some processes are purposefully difficult. Work requests and timescales for requests change frequently with little to no explanation. Systems don't work well and aren't updated regularly - for example, the system showing employee's total package wasn't updated so shows incorrect salaries. I found members of the Senior leadership team to be untrustworthy, and there is a lack of support and understanding from management. Asda's "Work Where It Works" can be used to justify bringing team members back to the office. I had a very unhappy time at Asda and my happiness and wellbeing suffered as a result. I would not recommend them as an employer.

Pros

Being lucky enough to have a good team and deputy manager. 10 percent discount brings increasingly high prices down a little

Cons

Being scored on everything , having to work delivery, que bust, do ubers and deliveroo whist maintaining friendliness and a tidy shop with no extra colleagues is highly stressful. Big deliveries with small amount of staff make this increasingly difficult.

Pros

No con to this company

Cons

I noticed a pervasive undercurrent of racial insensitivity that has left me shocked and disheartened. Colleagues would often make insensitive remarks, perpetuate harmful stereotypes, and engage in microaggressions that targeted individuals from diverse racial backgrounds. Instead of fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment, the company seemed to turn a blind eye to such behaviour, allowing it to persist unchecked.
