Pros

Friendly atmosphere, good overtime availability and the majority of the section leaders are respectable and very helpful on every shift. Ability to train up on a variety of departments to increase skills and chances of overtime. They are flexible when you are creating your contract. As I am also a student they take this into consideration and have built my shifts around this.

Cons

Queue clarity and general checkout atmosphere is awful and does nothing for shop floor maintenance. A repetitive job role but there isn't a lot more to my current role. One fixed wage unless it is a bank holiday. No overtime increase or Sunday pay. In fact, overtime is expected of you regardless of whether you are on a full or part time contract as they know nobody can live off the current ASDA wage comfortable. You are also rarely expected to get a contract over 25 hours.
