Pros

My direct manager legitimately cared about me as a human, and most of my coworkers were amazing, talented people. But that's where the positives end..

Cons

First off, the amount of work is astronomical. To the point where everyone is so stress that having coworkers cry daily over how overworked and stressed they are is completely normal. We would beg the management to hire more people or assist us, but they'd just tell us it was fine. All this, for an insanely low pay. After i left the company, i got a 25% increased offer with every other company i interviewed with. And that increase just puts me at an average for what someone in this field makes. Embarrassing. Also, no raises. They consider the 6% inflation a raise, so not once the whole time i was there did it ever feel appropriate to talk about money with my manager. This company is losing good workers in droves and there's an obvious reason for it. Only older generations seem to be sticking around because they still believe in company loyalty, but younger ppl are going elsewhere where they are treated better and paid more. I'd stay away from this place

Would not recommend. Pension isn’t worth being miserable

Pros

Pay and bonus are pretty good, benefits, pension

Cons

Golden handcuffs and pension keep the same old people and management there for decades. No flexibility for working remotely. Upload vax card and get back in the office 5 days a week! Be ready to lose good talent younger than Gen X to companies more forward thinking who actually listen to what employees want. Toxic and bullying environment to meet the extremely high sales goals. It seems even the compliance folks are paid off by commercial to keep their mouths shut about shady practices.

Singapore regional office

Pros

There are definitely no pros at all.

Cons

This is an unfinished list. Just a few major themes that have been reoccurring over the years in the Singapore office, especially in one particular department since 2014: Autocracy Abusive behavior of leader Compliance rules ignored Double standards Racism Deliberately make people’s life difficult who are unwanted or have fallen from grace Medieval people management Despotism and tyranny in different daily doses No one has dared to speak up or call the abbvie hotline, since people who did talk or expressed their opinion have been forced out in the past or been obviously mobbed in every aspect. The best advice I can give to everyone who is an educated and skilled professional is not to work for the regional office in Singapore. There at far better places where you are treated with respect and as a human being!
