      No pros to work here.

      Cons

      -health and safety not taken seriously (litres of solvent waste stored in lab unventilated) -Salary is terrible for a pharma company based in Dublin -Over scheduling of work constantly -Massive blame culture -Serious breaches in quality with emphasis put on getting product out the door regardless of issues. -The treatment of staff is terrible blaming staff for improper work processes. -Massive turnover of staff. (Approx 20 Qc analysts in the last year) -Inadequate training of staff -Huge number of staff on stress leave -Constant errors made in payroll with staff left waiting a months for proper pay -No progression opportunities within the labs. -Poor working atmosphere(everyone is constantly looking at other job opportunities)

      Pros

      New to industry opportunities and you get to work with some incredible people in a fast paced environment.

      Cons

      I refused to sign off an inappropriate brand campaign, which could harm patients and was subsequently managed out of my role, despite being the therapy area expert for years. Money is more important to this company then patients and they'll happily bleed communities dry to improve their sales. The culture is a hierarchy of power with fear and intimidation for those who question why or just say no. It's a miserable life and you will get bullied.

      If you have Career Aspiration, don't go to AbbVie

      Pros

      Great money, benefits are good but typical of other companies.

      Cons

      You will not advance further in your career here unless you have a friend in a higher position and will promote you. AbbVie is not merited, its all about who you know and how long you have been here. Very unfair and nepotistic. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Leadership is terrible and don't care much for staff development. They will talk all day long about development but it is all lip service. If you have not come to this company from Abbott, good luck getting promoted no matter how good your reviews are. Can't work from home and peers are backstabbing and no one is trustworthy. They will throw you under the bus then next minute because they see you as a competition to get ahead.
