Pros

Good place for short term career.

Cons

Very political and favoritism culture within HR org. Manager gives financial (comp/stock/promo) to friends rather than those deserving. There is no opportunity for career development or growth.

Pros

You and dependents get clear aligners for free. Okay, I can't think of anything else. Actually, the people you work with are nice. And, we started getting bananas and apples. If you don't have a job, it's a fantastic place to be. But if you have options, make sure you know what you're getting into.

Cons

The office location: it's really annoying to sit for half an hour on a stop sign. One of the most expensive areas in the Greater Raleigh area. There is no personal space at all. We are growing so fast we're about to start sharing desks. The office has so many issue, I almost forgot, the internet connection reminded me of 1980s dial-up speed. Also, your desktop is way less powerful than what your need. Your laptop is good for Office tools and small toy projects. I worked for much smaller and much bigger organizations in Raleigh. Align's perks are lacking: No perk, none by 2016 standards. If that's important to you, ask about the details, quality and frequency, when a 'breakfast' or 'party' or 'coffee' claims are made. If english is your only language, be prepared to be hearing conversations you don't understand, all the time. Health insurance benefits just got much less attractive, "to match the average" ones in the market and such as much. There is not work-from-home policy; if you don't have a very good reason, you better be at the office. The future of the R&D division in Raleigh is not clear. If stability is what you're after, beware.

Pros

Market opportunity is great because of patient demand. Margins are really good on the plastic. That's about all the positives and they are very close to the end with competition looming

Cons

Horrendous leadership for years with inability to get things done. It's an inside joke across all departments that this is where your career aspirations die because people aren't developed and promoted- they always hire from outside. Competition is coming and most dentists despise working with this complacent company.
