Not for Everyone

Pros

Amazon has ways to push people and motivate team players to be more effective. The communications in meetings are more efficient than other companies due to the company wide culture of using written documents to drive meetings.

Cons

Some teams seem to be hiring to fire to help meet the companies turnover/performance culture norms.

Pros

The company has lots of young people, it's a fast paced environment and it's fun to work with everyone.

Cons

It doesn't value their employees (compensation wise), it is not flexible to WFH, there is too much bureaucracy and they are too frugal to hire good people. Teams are hanging on by interns.
