Pros

-Training is thorough, depending on who the trainer is -Beautiful Workplace -Decent Recognition for hard work -The performance-based incentive program is decent

Cons

-Many in "leadership" positions are not qualified to be "leaders". They are data crunchers. - Internal communications are horrible - They overhire, and then find reasons to let the excess employees go - HR takes actions that do not align with what their SOPs say -Many in leadership roles are unsupportive and even rude at times -Very difficult to advance in your career unless you are friends with someone in a position to recommend you for a promotion -As an employee, you are VERY micromanaged

Pros

- Great salary! Well, if you are the CEO you get $100M+, and everyone else gets below inflation annual increments. But maybe one day you could be CEO! - You get to learn how top deal with constant funding cuts, outdated technology and shifting priorities

Cons

- shameful walk back of commitment to DE&I commitments since the last election. Head of DE&I quite and has not been replaced, and DE&I scrubbed from external publications. - central control of all messaging, even internal, out of fear Fox News will find out that Amex is nice to its employees regardless of background - total change in culture and priorities to focus on satisfying regulators, rather than customers, but without senior leaders acknowledging that this is a massive change from the "customer first, growth first, agile first, move quickly" push they were making only a couple years ago - senior leaders don't understand time zones - always needing to do more with no additional resources

Pros

time off balances, educational stays

Cons

they micromanage the hell out of you while only giving you approximately $20 an hour to book $100,000 worth of travel bookings plus annually. Let’s see where do I even start? They rip your benefits from you literally immediately once you put your two weeks in like petty high schoolers. Barely any room for real growth. I watched a learning and performance trainer get laid off after working with the company for 16 plus years with no valid reason. They pick and choose favorites. They make it impossible to succeed or receive any bonuses no matter how hard you work. Some of the employees such as, Joan Welsh, has worked there for 20 plus years and speak to their employees like they are caged animals with zero rights. The leaders are on some serious power trips and need to get a grip. Hope this helps.
