Pros

I think the place is good for your resume. It shows you put your time in. There are many opportunities to learn but at the cost of your outside life. They will work you hard at this place. Sometimes you feel like you don't know why you work so hard. Then, it hits you. It pushes you to keep working.

Cons

Flexibility is not really practiced here. They push everyone to work and to get clients. The work you do is not appreciated.

Pros

I used to work at a UK big 4 company as a manager for over 5 years. BDO is a breathe of fresh air, really cares about their employees, listens, pays staff equitably, not seen favouritism. BDO don't force you to work from the office, they treat you like an adult and want you to make the decision where is the most effective place for you to work from. I'm no longer in a constant state of anxiety due to the work stress at my previous Big4fim. I am really enjoying BDO and wish I joined them sooner in my career.

Cons

A lot of people want to work in the office so securing a desk needs advance booking, but this is negated by the work from home arrangements.

Pros

1. Nothing 2. Nothing 3. Nothing 4. Nothing 5. Nothing

Cons

Highly political environment. Career advisors are not interested in fulfilling their jobs and they don't like to advise employees on their performance, instead, meet with senior management at so called GROW meeting (performance evaluation meeting) to recommend senior management for layoffs of employees they don't like or suggested by Audit Managers due to grudges against their not favorite ones . The people withing the firm do back biting, especially the audit managers and other senior level staff. They call the employees from other developing countries and after one busy season, they simply lay off them by labelling them as not meeting firm's expectations. So potential employees coming from abroad take this matter serious when making decision to join this hell. The busy season is on throughout the year so never ending. Audit Managers are not friendly and they are more political and likely to have grudges against the employees they don't like.
