Cons

Nothing! Leaders have favorites and only supports and grow those who are within their circle. Trying so hard to be a big 4 but cannot given they dont have big 4 quality. Selfish leadership and no genuine care for their people Their statement saying Helping people thrive everyday is all illusion and propaganda. They dont care about their greatest resources, their people.

The partners saved some money by laying off during covid. That's probably a pro in their mind

Cons

Can't rehire after laying off during covid. Minimum 60 hours per week they say. Its actually Minimum 70. Pay raises are like 2 to 3% increase. Will try to not promote if they can pull it off. No sense of team. Everyone is there for themselves, and that comes from the top. Do not sacrifice your life for these people, they do not care for you. Your just a number to them.

So sorry to hear your experience is not positive. Your feelings are valid because you are entitled to your own opinions. Some of your facts unfortunately are wrong. Average pay raises are much higher than 2-3%. The firm is not looking to hold back on any promotions. Many respond to surveys that the team spirit they experience is what they most value. The benefits are decent and lower-level staff are extremely skilled and talented.

Cons

While the firm has forward thinking core values, I found that in the day-to-day work, the partners in advisory do not actually follow them. I’ve seen blatant sexism and nepotism and indirect racism. It seems like upper leadership is just an old school “old boys club.” The culture at the firm does not value its employees. They treat people like they are a replaceable cog and they would definitely choose to pay someone less to do your job. At the beginning of the pandemic, advisory was laying people off but claiming it was performance. Which in it of itself is questionable in terms of ethics. One team lost only women and over half were women of color. I would not recommend anyone work here and I would specifically tell women to avoid the firm.
