Pros

Great team of employees that want to make the company a success. Small business feel in a large company.

Cons

There are many: Headquarters treats BRP Marine Group as a rotational program for Canadian expats which has resulted in a constantly changing set of unqualified leaders making bad decisions with no accountability. Zero opportunity for advancement unless you are French-Canadian. No consistent branding or marketing strategy. Product development is slow and even then has a track record of poor quality.

Pros

Got to test products. Ability to travel interstate and overseas as small base in Aus and head office in Canada.

Cons

People were in management roles with not the necessary skills to have them but really tenure in the company. Company was highly proctored, I never felt I had any privacy. For example if I went to the bathroom I felt like I had to announce it otherwise they would wonder why I’m not at my desk. Very male dominated and employees who lacked the understanding that females are equal to men. I remember once being told by a superior that I was lucky to have my salary and was offended but felt I had to oblige and agree.

Thank you for sharing your experience at BRP. We strongly believe that our strength comes from the passionate commitment of each employee around the world. We always try our best to treat everyone equally and help our employees achieve their goals. The powersports industry is in fact male dominated. But here at BRP, we celebrate what’s been done by women and what’s yet to come by highlighting the determination, leadership and commitment of the many exceptional women making a difference in our industry. We take great pride on initiatives like our Women in Powersports series that features interviews with 14 female BRP employees, dealers and ambassadors to feature their boldness and dedication. We apologize that you did not have the exceptional work experience that we strive to offer during your time here. Nevertheless, we are glad that you liked testing our products!
