Pros

Good opportunity to learn some leading edge technologies. The employee base is a hard working dedicated bunch. HR tries their best. The bring you food every day.

Cons

Other than the product, I don't have much good to say. The middle management is pathetic. For the rank and file employee, there is virtually no opportunity to grow.

Pros

Casual dress code. Keg in front on CEO's office. They have a luxury suite at San Jose Sharks games and occassionally entertain the staff there.

Cons

They pay here is horrible. During my time there countless sales reps, SE's, and employees in other departments left Barracuda for jobs paying 30-50% more for the same exact job/role. Barracuda is a boiler room sweat shop and has an extremely cliqueish culture. The CEO Dean Drako is the most rude and assuming person I have ever worked for in 25 years in the workforce.

Pros

Good place to get into the industry and get your feet wet.

Cons

I've been at Barracuda for a considerable amount of time and from my perspective it's been extremely disheartening to witness the decline in the company's once vibrant culture. The leadership (which claims to prioritize innovation) has lost touch with this core value, and the company is far from the innovative force it used to be. The disconnect between leadership and the rest of the organization is palpable. Despite the proclaimed commitment to "succeed together," the not so open-door policy has become the norm, breeding an atmosphere of mistrust and uncertainty. It's somewhat concerning to see leaders on their own little island, seemingly detached from the challenges faced by the sales team. In my opinion, the lack of transparent communication and collaboration is hindering our ability to thrive as a team. The leadership's failure to embody the company's stated values is impacting morale and, consequently, our overall success.
