Pros

Only job one can find while looking for another. BE may pay more to get you in the door - but it is a revolving door. MDs are watching their asses - they only care (a little) about their friends. Goverment contracting officers may soon stop awarding contracts, Clients are not happy and not paying for BE service. Best Summary: Stall, Spin, Crash and Burn. Company stalled in December with the replacement of Harry You by Ed Harbach. The spin began with Ed's attempt to find a new CFO - who wisely left quickly

Cons

They will be bankrupt soon; Very difficult to sell parts of the company; disorder. Worst thing is having BE on your resume

Pros

The best reason to work for BearingPoint is that it is a great place to start your professional career and get in on the ground floor of consulting.

Cons

BearingPoint is currently going through severe financial distress and the future of the company is uncertain. Compensation and benefits are also below the market average for similar jobs. The number one downfall of BearingPoint is its total lack of investment in training and nurturing of its employees. Consulting is a people business and not training and growing the skills of your work force is suicidal.
