Pros

Has the name British in its brand name

Cons

If you have an IQ greater than most children, are white, British and over 55 you have no chance of gaining employment. BA employ a recruitment team that are clueless and that blatantly select using discriminatary criteria. BA show a lack of common courtesy and professionalism when approached.

Pros

- Great team on the shop floor, the experienced guys are really helpful to explain what you haven't been told in training and how things work in real life; - Annual concession flight (amazing for long-haul flights); - Ability to swap shifts with colleagues so you can be off work in certain days you need; - Got a forklift driver license.

Cons

- Infernal roster - seven days on, two off - with only four days once a month. This could include one or several quick turnarounds (you end at 10 pm and have to be back at 6 am). There are also night shifts every two months or so. - Pay is not so great, especially for new starters - you will need a lot of overtime to make ends meet. - Corporate greediness - since the latest management took over, costs are being cut, lots of pressure for overselling; - Dangerous environment - when you have 50 people and 15 forklifts in the same area, and everyone is pushed to the limit, it's an accident waiting to happen; - Very few career opportunities.

Pros

The uniform is cute

Cons

They lie about everything.. part time is working average 30hours a week not 21 as advertised.. 100% child UNfriendly company they push people to leave. So have a constant recruitment campaign. Pay for hours average out less than minimum wage for 18 year olds let alone an adult with a child or two. You are just a number the old staff have been shafted by BA so they hate the newbies and won't help you of needed.. they would let you cockett ip..
