Pros

Friendly Colleagues Vibe and Thrive Allowance Good work-life balance

Cons

VERY Bureaucratic, slow and founder-led No autonomy Unsupportive group leads who are afraid to disagree with the CEO Everything (including minor product changes) has to be approved by the CEO in long meetings and can take weeks/months for approval Not diverse, especially in senior management All work has to be done in a 200 page power-point style deck. Why? B/c the CEO hates brevity and prefers gifs. Average salary

Pros

Pay is okay, nice product, clubs and social events

Cons

The company’s senior leadership is a toxic group that been put there through nepotism and by licking the boots of the founders, one of which is a thin skinned human with a big ego that doesn’t offer much value to the firm. Nepotism runs through almost all the director+ promotions. Sexual harassment exists and it took some attempts in company blind to push forward with action for one of them. To even get have the company respond on blind, there was so much resistance from nasty employees trying to shut down the conversation and bring it internally so that it didn’t hit the newsin fear it will bring down the stock price. If you are bullied and harassed make sure you document everything. Most of the gaslighting comes from other employees themselves. I’ve seen people being bullied to no end and forcefully made to resign, to outright stalking and harassment outside the office. Canva talks a big story on be good human but internally it is the complete opposite. People taking behind people that they are otherwise friendly with in real life to white anting them and destroying them from within. The company has had a down round recently dropping significantly from its previous valuation. There is no clear indication of an IPO date so no one has an idea when stock will be liquid.

Pros

no end in sight to wfh if thats your thing. meal allowance that pays for lunch. allowance that pays for most things you need to setup your home working space. can work from anywhere in australia. Most people in trenches are samrt and humble.

Cons

many long timers checked out but still holding their cushy positions. non meritocratic working environment. not based on results but subjective measures of good human etc. pecking order from left to right is white woman, white man, asian woman, other woman, all minority men. If you are white, eat your heart out. This is the place for yhou. The more left on the pecking order you are, the better the sponsorship and opportunities you will have at your disposal. some groups have terrible group leads. the group I was in had a group lead that barely interacted with the team. they were absent for long periods of time but were still holding that position without any repercussions. equity plan is a joke. not enoiugh options considering the wealth of the founders.
