Pros

If you're happy with being grateful for a job

Cons

eCommerce review: No structure, No growth and development. No recognition. Not a safe place. Employee cars are broken into frequently with no care or support from the company. Senior Management team is non supportive to floor supervisors and operation managers. Hush money raises are given when concerns are addressed

Dear colleague, We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had with our company. Your concerns about the eCommerce umbrella are disheartening, and we take them seriously. Safety and employee well-being are top priorities, and it's regrettable to hear about issues with car break-ins and a lack of support. We are committed to investigating these matters further to address any deficiencies. Your feedback on recognition and growth opportunities is noted, and we understand the importance of a positive and supportive work culture. If there are specific incidents you'd like us to examine further, please contact our HR department. We are actively working on making improvements, and hopefully, you will see positive changes soon. Pros

Due to union you get 10 sick days, 10 vacation days on your first year, and premium health care at a good cost.

Cons

As more functions you learn, there is no room for wage negotiation as its a union environment. If you are a good asset you get awarded with more work that other people do not want to do. Also the company is heading to a direction with no goal or gain. Also lay offs happen yearly.

Dear colleague, We appreciate your honest comments about your experience as an Air Freight handler. We are grateful that you have given recognition to the environment that enables you to gain relevant experience for your career development. Many join the company to do this and end up building a strong career in the company taking advantage of the countless learning and development opportunities available on all areas. In relation to the salary, DHL offers competitive compensation and bonus packages to its employees. If you are feeling that this is not the case, please schedule a meeting with your local HR department to discuss it further and understand the possibilities you count with. All the best in Torrance, Your DHL Team

Pros

Flexi benefits (include apply to dental coverage for family), Annual leave, great workplace and facilities, still work from home (hybrid), provide compulsory training (technical or people development skill), and bonus every year (increment is so-so).

Cons

Too much politics with too many old timers/long service staff with their own agenda/politics just to sustain and maintain what they have in the company. I really do not know why the company is still keeping these people working on this established MNC company like DHL. Promotions based on favoritisms (based on race of course) and long service to the company, without looking whether this person is capable of handling it. Beside that, many of the team managers here do not have good people & technical skills. A lot of talented staff have left because there is limited opportunity with this politics still going on in this company, and also weak team managers. Since the reorganization, it is becoming worse with a lot of staff who do not agree with it, and based on the Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) result does not match with the staff's perception towards their team, managers, and higher management. HR still does not do anything despite replying to every comment here and giving false promises to make change in this DHL's Glassdoor page. As agreed to previous comment, this place is not for free-spirit technology personnel to be working here.
