Pros

Money, Money, Money there can be a lot of money. Great people, and an exhilirating work environment. Would probably say that the bank is better than the competition in all respects: diversity, decent work/life balance for the S&Ts and even sometimes the IBers. transparency with management.

Cons

difficult to move up and get foot in the door. There can be some subjectivity in the review process as elsewhere, but the downsides are significantly lower at DB. It can also be beureacratic at times with processes stifling business activity given the size of the bank.

Pros

When this was Bankers Trust it was a great place to work. After "acquisition" emphasis was placed squarely on the the managers to make money (which isn't a bad thing) but the way they went about it was wrong.

Cons

No effort is made for the non-officer ranks. What you start at -- is generally what you end up as! The "team spirit" was replaced to a "us vs. them" mentality.
