Pros

Commitment to volunteerism, paid time off

Cons

Lack of uniformity in work hours across the company. Some BU's have people working 60 hours/week while others have people only working 40 hours/week

Pros

Early years felt like family and it was great! We have been told it was very different from other companies. Training there was the best! Other co's should foam at the mouth to get Discover employees.

Cons

Lack of advncement. pay sucked. no upper management opportunities for minorities. ran best talent out the door. performance mgmnt was a joke.

Pros

Work life balance/flexible work schedule Work from home options Benefits Willingness to spend money on training Good executive management team

Cons

No defined career path Promotions are based on who you know and not results oriented or how hard you work Middle management is a joke and has been put there because of relationship with upper management regardless of if they have leadership capabilities or not Salaries do not match industry Focused more on business model than technology that supports the function of that business
