Pros

The opportunity to work with some very talented people. Also, the opportunity to learn good industry best practices that are highly sought by other companies.

Cons

Jobs, roles/responsibilities, measures of success are not well defined, so everyone does their best to define them on their own. Add to that what's required to Exceed Expectations (Make Up Your Own Project And Get it Approved Yourself), and you're left with a darned confusing situation. In Technologies, few teammates and leaders/team members know each other very well because team changes take place as few as two and as many as four times a year. As a result, the level of trust needed isn't there and we often aren't aware of our teammates' full abilities.

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
