Pros

Team and stakeholder mostly professional and not the type to cross boundaries. Most parts of the year adequate work-life balance. Things get slightly hectic during peak months but leads ensure workload manageable. HR team and employee resource groups organise activities like talks, forums, and celebrations to keep things exciting. Hybrid work environment (twice a week) gives more time for deep work opportunities and reduces fatigue from regular commute

Cons

Nothing too extreme from my experience. As most companies are with promotion cycles, you'll need to be loud and visible if you're keen to climb up the career ladder. If you're not the type to strive for that strongly, the environment is manageable most times. Bonus amounts is dependent on company performance which is affected by uncontrolled environments - global finances, global sales, investors, and legal restrictions of tobacco. This has led the bonus amounts to be relatively small (average 2 months past 3 years).

- Complete autonomy with schedule which provides for a nice balance between work and personal life - Impact people who are trying to grow their careers - Company car and free* gas is pretty nice

Cons

- Autonomy & freedom does leave time where you have to be self-motivated to keep going and push forward

Pros

Very strong compensation package, lots of very nice genuine people on the Reynolds US side

Cons

Toxic, politically charged environment, cliques of people each trying to place their own people in roles. A singular mis-trust and dislike of "outside" people who are brought in to move the company forward but the existing people who have worked there for years and years are all trying to protect and sustain their own roles and their own cliques. All show and pretty presentations but no meaningful, meaty strategy
