Pros

Free food and snacks are genuinely good (if you’re actually around to eat them). Office spaces look great and are well-designed — very “Instagram workplace”. Some genuinely talented people to learn from (especially early career). Brand name looks strong on a CV. Flexibility on paper (remote/hybrid policies exist… in theory). Tools and internal systems are polished and modern

Cons

Very high turnover with little to no replacement hiring. Teams shrink and the work just gets redistributed. Roles quietly expand without title or pay changes. Constant “do more with less” messaging. Burnout is common and rarely addressed beyond surface-level initiatives. Knowledge drain as experienced people leave and aren’t backfilled. Morale takes a hit when exits feel normalised. Re-orgs feel reactive rather than strategic. Long-term planning suffers because teams are stretched too thin.

Pros

Product is beloved by users. Brand affinity is second to none which makes being a marketer a lot of fun. Genuinely good and caring coworkers who want to build something great. Hiring bar is high. Vibe and Thrive benefit is clever and unique.

Cons

Behind the brand is a cult like culture with the “founders” surrounded by yes people (whether they are aware of it or not). Mediocrity seems to be tolerated among management’s “old guard” causing tension and churn with newer and sometimes more experienced leaders. Insecure leaders at some of the highest levels perpetuate much of the toxic behaviors described in the reviews below such as gaslighting and favoritism. People “disappear” with little to no explanation, but hey, it’s the “Canva way”.
