From what I'm experiencing your experience pretty much depends on your luck getting a good team. People in my team works as cells, there's no much team work, although people are friendly everything feels fake, no matter your dedication level and deliverables/contribution, it's never enough. Not the work life balance I was advertise for, nor the job environment. Probation period it's just a joke, you get a bunch of good feedback until you have a meeting in which your coach raises a lot of bad things that threatens your probation. Feedback/coaching system is another joke where you have one single person deciding if you're good enough or not (no matter your skills, qualifications, deliverables, etc). Constructive feedback is what they preach for, but at the end of the day you just see them highlighting the things you could improve, and not perceive of value the good things. When you're trying to solve things or looking for answers (not on the tech side, but company level), nobody knows whom holds that info or how decision are taken. Nothing seems clear and transparent. While some people had amazing experience here, I've heard from super smart and good people that had so many issues they said they'd cry everyday. For a company that again says it cares for their employees' mental health, they should know better. This is more than providing EAP and free food but offering a good work environment. You can try to talk to HR but there's no much support on how to solve issues as well. They seem lost and powerless. There's not much visibility of how projects are prioritised and how decisions are taken.
