I work as a presales engineer in the US and it is a great organization in a company that is cling to its past success, but at the same time forgetting about what made it succesful. The positive aspects of the job are: -Lots of training opportunities across the board, soft skills and technical skills -The RSA brand is well known and highly respected -The products are in some of the most compelling and important security markets -The field SE leadership team has high standards and brings in good talent -The Sales Engineering Team truly is a family -Access to a wide install base of large customers
Cons
-Product and field marketing is terrible. -Product management tells customers what they need, they don't ask them what they want. -Too much legal oversight -Too much corporate cooks in the kitchen. -Global Sales Leadership has good ideas, but no idea what happens in the field.
