Pros
Stable income and I was lucky to work remotely.
Cons
I've had a challenging experience working at TCS, and there are several key areas that have contributed to my dissatisfaction with the company. Communication: One of the biggest issues I've encountered is the poor communication within the organization. It was often difficult to find the right person to reach out to for help or guidance, which made navigating the company frustrating. My "manager" rarely communicated with me, leaving me feeling unsupported and disconnected from the team. Project Assignment: Despite being hired as a Software Engineer, I was placed on a project that felt more like IT support work. The tasks I was assigned were not aligned with the role I was hired for, and the project lacked value in terms of contributing to my growth as a developer. Compensation: The pay at TCS is low, especially considering the expectations and demands of the role. This made it difficult to feel motivated or valued as an employee. Appraisal System: The appraisal system at TCS is another area that I found problematic. The process involves setting goals in a portal, but the evaluation of your performance is done by someone who you may have never worked with during the project. This random evaluation determines your grade and, in turn, your bonus, which feels unfair and disconnected from the actual work you’ve done. Overall, my experience at TCS has been disappointing due to these factors. I believe there are significant improvements that could be made in communication, project alignment, compensation, and performance evaluation to create a more supportive and rewarding environment for employees.
