Pros

Stimulating international environment. I was working in DG-ECFIN, in the unit working on macroeconomic imbalances of a small group of countries, and I had the opportunity to interact with expert researchers and to participate to several interesting conferences.

Cons

Bureaucracy and redundancy. Few employment opportunities at the end of the internship.

Pros

It is a very enriching international and multicultural environment. Social advantages are good and include international school for children.

Cons

Burocratic environment, due to public money expenditure, in some cases the workload is very high, in some posts scarce exposure to the outside world.
