Pros

Can’t think of any pros

Cons

Due to capacity, No parking is available for associates. We have to park on grass patches throughout the campus, and spend 20-30 mins just finding the spot. On certain days, cafe runs out of food. And the worst part is finding a desk. It’s impossible to find a place close to your team mates. Your team members will be on different floors and buildings. But you still have to come in to office everyday, and live through this hell. We come in to office to do zoom meetings because can’t sit next to team mates due to capacity issues. Their campuses are cramped for space. More like a bustling fish market in an Asian capital city. Managers threaten to cancel bonuses and promotions if we don’t accept this situation. Managers are happy with this as well. Because they want to downsize the company, and every manager is looking for an excuse to fire people. They lure people in with bonuses but use bonus as a blackmailing tool. If you don’t do this, we will take this percent off bonus. If you don’t do that, we will take this percent off bonus.

Pros

This was a great company to work for remotely

Cons

The higher ups of fidelity do not care about what their employees want in terms of job satisfaction. The RTO requirement is ridiculous for highly preforming employees. The requirement only affects the employees who actually care about their job and their stats. My manager is given no power to help accommodate us with work life balance and is solely a rule enforcer.

Pros

Great brokerage platform for self directed investors.

Cons

They have massively over hired where there are too many advisers and not enough opportunities to successfully build a practice. Relationship building and financial planning with clients is not prioritized and the only thing that matters is how much managed money and annuity business you do each month. Management is horrible and does not value or respect their advisors. They look at everyone as expendable. Micromanagement of number of appointments (they expect you to have 20 appointments a week), dials, and clicks on various tools. Anyone with self respect and dignity, eventually leave. Fidelity is running their brand into the ground.
