Pros

I work with some of the most lovely, intelligent, generous people I've ever met. It's a great crew, and I get to learn a lot every day. The benefits are unmatched. Generous parental leave (5 months for birthing parent), affordable healthcare premiums which are covered 100% after 4 years. Good base pay rates, bonus (hit or miss lately) and RSUs.

Cons

The direction is questionable. It feels like community was launched in a rush to hit certain goal numbers for the board, without meaningful through about how this new area fits in with the rest of the site. Given we roll into a larger organization (Recruit) and a demanding board, it's hard to imagine we won't have additional layoffs every earnings report season.

Thank you for your review! It's wonderful to hear how much you love the people you work with as well as the growth and learning you experience through your day-to-day. As a company whose mission is to make worklife better, together, your review highlights that we practice what we preach with great benefits, people, and culture. In today's macro environment with layoffs across tech, it is understandable that you are concerned about them. Thank you for sharing your concern. As I'm sure you've seen, we recently revamped our planning and related communication to make sure the team is always focused on high impact work that is effectively communicated to leadership. I believe the value ML Science is delivering is clear to leadership. To address your concern about direction, we continue to believe that Community brings value to our users as a place to foster connection and deeper insight than reviews alone. As a company driven to make worklife better, together, we are continually iterating on how best to bring the value of Community to our users and support them throughout their professional journey. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review. We are grateful to have you on our team, contributing to our culture of kindness, learning, and innovation. - Emily Mower, Sr. Director of Machine Learning & Applied Science

Pros

Complete and total transparency. Great compensation and benefits. Good people. Lack of a high pressure environment—realistic deadlines and expectations with lots of input from engineers at every level. I always feel heard and that my feedback is taken seriously (because things improve over time). Incredibly competent engineering managers.

Cons

Honestly none that I can think of that are worth mentioning.
