Pros

Very good politics, 1. In a year you will get 10 conservative leaves which will be compulsory as a part of work life balance. 2. If you are relocating, then the policies are more than best. You will get 60k travel reimbursement, theey will manage your stay on Hotel for 15 days with allpwance of 1k per day(If you have family then 1k per head pee day for your spouse and 2 children ). They will provide the road tax for your vehicle. Also if you are taking a rented flat, company will provide the deposit money to you with no cost EMI. 3.Weekly one day work from home. 4.if you are female and having a kid, you will get free daycare by HSBC also if ypu are not opting faycare facility then you will get 5k per month alllwance till 5 years.

Cons

1.work environment is not that cool, many people are here with 5 to 15 yrs of experience and they are very uncool in terms of behavior. 2.bell curve yearly rating process, in a team they need to find at least 10% people with no hike and incentive, they will take silly reasons for this category. 3. Employee firing rate is high. 4.Other teams manger will think that they own you as well and can start complaining to higher management.

Pros

Large global bank with potential for mobility

Cons

The culture and half hearted approach of management (especially Markets compliance) provides a very poor working environment. Everyone is scared of losing their jobs, therefore nothing changes, no challenge to the status quo. If the role will improve your CV go in with your eyes open to a very political and passive aggressive environment.
