Pros
Long standing and stable company. The associates are very nice. Welcome luncheons were tasty.
Cons
Position was described as an 8 hour shift repeatedly during all 4 interviews, and I never worked less than 11 hours. No real training to speak of, even for leads and supervisors. Was a little surprised at how little effort seemed to go into onboarding. Frequently heard the phrase "there's never a good time for training." HR and operations couldn't be further apart. HR would plan these awesome things but then due to the limited staff on the floor we really couldn't enjoy them. We never had meetings. Manager frequently kept supervisors chatting long after shift end. I felt very lost most of the time. At one point I confided in my direct manager that I was struggling mentally and he started checking his phone. It's not a bad place but the expectations that my manager set before I was hired were never met on their part. I understand that as a salaried worker, staying late here and there comes with the territory, but I basically did turn and burns for 6 months straight. IT was really hard on me. I wanted to love the company so much.
