Pros

Comp. and opportunity to work remotely.

Cons

Hopper's Trustpilot rating stands at 1.7 stars from over 18,000 reviews, with frequent reports of unexpected charges and refund difficulties. Glassdoor rating is 3.0 out of 5, with only 30% of employees favoring the CEO ??? The other 70% are working in dread , trust me !!!! There are ongoing concerns about frequent layoffs and a lack of job stability. While Hopper showcases multiple industry awards, some, like the Best in Biz Awards. Do the research and you find that its shady company giving out the same award over and over. I know first hand .

Pros

Generally liked my coworkers, the code base was fun to work with, there wasn't a lot of meetings but they were effective

Cons

It's a bit of a hire and fire culture. Lots of layoffs. There is a huge pressure to deliver. I always felt a bit on the clock

Pros

Great PTO, Health Benefits, and remote work environment... thats about it.

Cons

New leadership on the team came in at the beginning of 2024 and began creating a toxic work environment where every week you're unsure if your job is safe. They fired all managers that actually cared for their employees and understands the work you do. New managers don't care to take the time to understand what you do on the day to day, only care about high level numbers that don't paint the full picture. Team keeps getting smaller with the same amount or even more work to do. The burnout among employees is real.
