Pros

Indeed has been a wonderful company with amazing culture but changes with leadership, products, all time low quota attainment (at least in my 4 years) are causing people to leave in droves.

Cons

Indeed is forcing clients to change to pay per applicant versus our pay per click pricing model since we can't grow anymore with our current model to make our shareholders happy. Looking to increase the spend per job is making our clients furious and no one wants to listen to feedback. While the spend per job increases, there is less job volume and quotas are created based on pay per click models causing sales to miss consistently. A lot of sales orgs are going through challenges with quota attainment but this seems to be self-inflicted. Indeed is looking at long-term growth but will experience short term struggles and for sales that is concerning. We also lost the face of sales this quarter, our CRO, who has been with Indeed and is "leaving for another opportunity" where I believe he sees the writing on the wall like many others. In my opinion, our new pricing model is going to make us the next monster.com since we always listen to jobseeker feedback but not our clients apparently.

Pros

Overall there a few great things about working at Indeed. Perks: -Unlimited PTO -WFH depending on the department -The people (mostly) and culture are great -Flexibility depending on department and manager -Flexibility to do work on things outside your primary day-to-day -Free snacks, breakfast, and weekly lunch -Nice office space Other Pros: -Top in their space HR Tech/Recruitment Advertising -A great brand to have on your resume

Cons

While those perks and pros are great there are many cons. Cons: -Guess what Indeed is nowhere near the only ones that have all the perks I mentioned above. These are standard perks across the Tech industry companies small or big in order for them to stay competitive -Out of about 50 interviews, I have done(In the past few years)/speaking with others in tech/researching/ETC...... Typically the perks are the same or even better than what's offered at Indeed. -OH but guess what Perks are the same or better but that's with more PAY as well. -Sales & CS workers here are churning faster than butter. Countless people are unhappy and looking for a new gig. -They are growing (which is great) but to quickly at that. As a result, the quality of the people they hire is getting worse and worse. -Management is good and bad of course it depends on the person. However, overall when they promote people they make an extremely long process just as long as making an external hire and you have to compete with tons of your fellow co-workers. More often than not they pick the less qualified person because hey at least we're buds. -The CS department has become a joke. The pay is laughable compared to other companies even though as a business they make a ton of $$$$$$. I've seen companies that make way less and pay better. They are treated like dirt compared to people in other departments. All they give you is silly stuff that doesn't matter. A clap, words of encouragement, a pat on the back, these things don't pay my bills this is a major department in a major company, not an elementary school gym class. Not to mention they will basically hire anyone with a brain nowadays. -Indeeds rating is trending down........ I wonder why. They used to be above a 4-star rating but as you can see they are going downhill. For a company that preaches Employee branding, this is not a good sign. -Did I mention..... PAY their pay is less than competitive especially in the Client Success department. Advice to job seekers, if you choose Indeed do your 1 year like me and upgrade to a better company. While I'm sure there are way worse places to work this place is certainly not the best as they want you to believe. Don't drink the kool-aid.

Thanks for leaving us feedback about working in our Client Success Team in New York. We’re really proud of the wide range of benefits and perks that we offer our employees and do believe they’re extremely competitive in the market. We review salaries yearly as part of the merit process and have a dedicated benefits team that are continually adjusting levels based on data and feedback. We have also launched a global salary project across the business to look at our salary ranges across all roles. We have very exciting growth plans and because of this we are growing our teams globally and hiring more great talent. The quality of people we hire is vital to this growth and our talent attraction team select and assess candidates using robust assessment methods and a consistent interview process whether that be when putting internal or external candidates through the process. We are listening and acting on all the feedback we receive across our external and internal feedback channels, so we appreciate the time you have taken to give us this.

Pros

Snacks, office space, 6th floor view

Cons

management is inexperienced, incompetent and micro manage to find the flaws as they have nothing else to do... either you get into the delirium, starts pretending you adore the company and drink the cool aid or either you ask the right questions and start raising eye brows and attract attention...
