You work as a contractor that gets underpaid and underappreciated especially for the amount of work you do by both the company you are contracted by and Infosys themselves. There is also the flip side, sometimes you get paid to do basically nothing feeling very unproductive and a waste of your developing skills, its a role of the dice in many ways for what position you will end up obtaining and what you will end up doing.
This company is from India, the issue isn't where they are from, it is their work ethics/values that they encourage or rather expect (require) you to fulfil; They don't out right say it as it is illegal, but they encourage you to do work off the clock for no compensation. Basically if there's work to be done then they expect you to take every waking moment to accomplish it.
It doesn't matter how hard or well you work for them, it really only matters how long you have worked for them, you are not rewarded for your success or skills. Any accomplishments you make can give you recognition and can help you move up in their corporate ladder a little bit faster, but more than likely anything you do will not. Your accomplishments really just help the management above you get raises especially for your efforts on outstanding desired projects by the client.
If I was to give a percentage of what Infosys really cares about, I would give 50% to the bottom line ($), 49% to what their clients think of them and their contractors, 1% to their employees.
