One of the best places I have ever worked
Pros
I have been in the industry for 15+ years. I have worked for the largest chip manufacturers in the industry and one other semiconductor tooling company. Each place I have worked in the past had a mission, quality or core value statements. Employers of the past did not follow their mission statement throwing quality out the window to gain quantity even some of the time throwing safety aside to meet a expectation or metric. A lot of these employers would also put so much pressure on the employee for output to meet numbers for a quarter it made life miserable causing people health issues mentally and physically. Did not matter if it were manufacturing chips or installing a tool at a customer site. Lam actually follows their core value statement Achievement. Honesty and integrity. Innovation and continuous improvement. Mutual trust and respect. Open communication. Ownership and accountability. Teamwork. Think: customer, company, individual. As part of a great team each person is valued by the team. Each person helps the other grow and learn. In other words there is no leader, the team works shoulder to shoulder no matter how long you have been with the company, how long you have been in the industry, and every persons input is valuable to everyone. No task is beneath anyone and any help or coaching is always provided to help someone succeed. Because of these values and the employees following them, you work harder to achieve the goals of your team. I am very happy working with Lam and the challenge to me is the best part of the job.
Cons
This is small to me but is there everyday and I am sure its fixable. It is the constant whispering and rumoring from the contractors that were hired in the lab. How much they get paid, who is doing what, this manger said that, etc. Other than that the company has no cons.
