      Good work life balance but poor management that don't properly reward technical expertise.

      Pros

      Good work-life balance and good benefits! A lot of smart individuals and good people.

      Cons

      Poor management. It is too easy to become a manager but very hard to grow in the technical path. Stay away if you don't like brown-nosing but if you like easy brainless work just come to work on time and pretend you work hard as long as you answer all your emails and go to all the meetings.

      Pros

      Established company to work for. Decent pay and benefits. Many locations around the U.S. Paycheck every Friday. Many (conformist) employees will get to keep their jobs for a long time.

      Cons

      Still using antiquated technology and tools. After working for the company for almost 10 years, there is no clear path to career advancement. New hires directly from college have many more opportunities. People with over eight years with the company are totally forgotten. Training is almost non-existent.

      Large company so lots of places to move around to Benefits (vacation 4 weeks + holidays, 401k 7% match, health insurance they pay the majority) Work/life balance - flexible schedule

      Cons

      Gov't contract cycle creates instability and need to change jobs frequently Not as many cutting edge technology jobs Classified work
