Pros

Very laid back atmosphere. I was employed in several different roles through my 7 years and every position let you set your own work load expectations. With Fridays off in the summer (4x10 hour Mon-Thur) the work life balance was great. The products and customers are fantastic. The engineers and assembly tech (actually all direct labor individuals) are incredibly knowledgeable and very nice. If you're lucky enough to get to travel, it is worldly and that is also a big positive.

Cons

Here is where MTS loses all of its appeal. Everyone knows that we incentivize sales to meet end of quarter quotas. This means, every single quarter there is a mad rush. Even worse the mad rush at the end of the year is just chasing dollar signs. Top leadership has made almost no steps towards long term goals in any capacity, except for investing an obscene amount of money in building improvements. Director level managers are continuously shuffled around and coming up with new ideas of how to "fix MTS". The problems are valid, the way they've gone about fixing them is not. Everyone knows that the "fix" will be yesterday's news in a couple months and the "focus" will be pulled to another "solution" and all of the cobbled together attempts get left at the wayside. Also, there was at least 1 round of layoffs in every single year that I worked there. Many of the layoffs are based on an algorithm and unfortunately cut really good, productive employees. Allowing for more upper management and more HR. Don't expect any kind of raise here either. If you're a high performer you'll only get recognized financially for it if you tell them you deserve it. Even then the red tape that needs to be cut through to get it is staggering. The only way to get ahead here is to jump ship to new groups.

Pros

Compensate and the Geoff Graves bike parking building! Rode scholar to learn from! Huge pro - running Becker back to the horse farm! Killed sales with his dream of being his own CEO!

Cons

Leadership most worried about their offices - not employees. HR department has the highest turnover of the whole company. Next lay-off must be in planning stage (been a few weeks since the last). Corporate compliance - bahahaha - listen to that mouth! New CEO was a board member the whole time stock value kept decreasing! He will keep stock price down for day traders!
