Pros

If you do not care about work, you want to socialize, or to play games, you got it, that's a place for you.

Cons

There is no other place in the Bay Area where management has so much power over Engineers. In NVIDIA Engineer = Slave, each engineer is a slave for at least one manager, there are many cases where if you do a good job you get moved around between 2 or 3 managers. This way many managers can enjoy your services.... Loyalty and years serving the company is the only thing that matters. If you are a good performer and you do your job right, management will make sure you work alone, management will make sure you are isolated. As long as you keep quite and you never question your managers, things go well. Some VPs are plain borderline criminals, if they were not working for NVIDIA you would say they were part of the godfather trilogy. They never achieved anything in their career, they are just friends of the big boss.

Pros

Good to work in a Product company which has a Global enviroment structure and learn different types of work if you get allowed. Jensen is leading the company in very strong way and just because of him the company is improving in various platforms.

Cons

The Local Directors are surrounded by Managers whom politics is more important than the Company work. The managers are behaving like the company is running just because of them. If you do Good work then your work will not be recognised by your name but they will show as they have done this task and if you are lagging in something then they will focus your week points to upper management (Local Director). Many managers are just enjoying email-emails to check whether there is any spelling mistakes in the email even if the topic is important for the company. Looks like they are Professors from Cambrige University and joined NVIDIA for checking spellings only and not for any technical issues. Many of them are overloaded with the work and we need to ping them for any approval 4-5 times and they don't know how to use Blackberry given to them to see if any email arrives in their INBOX. Local Directors are keeping quiet even if any employee is doing complaint against any Managers. As per Managers Local Directors are always out of reach for them and they don't have proper knowledge about NVIDIA policies and need to take approval for each request from Local Director. For a simple request we need to wait for at least 15 days to get the approval from the Manager just because of this reason. Even HR team is doing the same thing and they don't have time to listen employee and reslove the issues.
