Pros

I had worked for 1.5 years in PwC SDC, EGL, Bangalore(Non ERP practice) as a technical lead and recently came out of the company to find better opportunities. Apart from PwC brand name - not much advantage I had by joining PwC SDC

Cons

I must say this place is nothing like a PwC brand name(as it is known for in USA). This company & culture is more like Bearing Point company culture which was acquired by PwC & later named as PwC SDC. Many employees got fooled thinking it is like a PwC USA & joined only to suffer Especially for leads & above(ie with 5+ years experienced) - joining here is a dead end. Because there is hardly any growth opportunities Company policies & support system is easily one of the LEAST employee friendly compared to many other CMML 5 IT companies Management does not listen to employee concerns and their career growth problems. Firing policy in the company is bizarre and shocking - employee is just a headcount, not considered part of the company. Payments need to be better as the company claims it is of PwC standard. As of now salary is comparable to well known IT companies such as TCS. It is also painful to see that nothing is transparent and most of the decisions etc are done by 4-5 old members(employees retained from Bearingpoint company) of the company and not even discussed with others. Because of wide contacts of PwC parent company in USA, PwC SDC Bangalore has no problem in getting projects. Therefore seems like management is not much bothered to make the workplace, processes, employee benefits etc any better. Work life balance is pathetic - you will be forced to work extra hours during week days and also forced to work on holidays & week ends.

Pros

Great upward mobility for entry level positions. Lots of opportunity to move to various groups within company to learn different specialities (advisory, audit, tax, or different industry focuses). Company has invested money in good training programs to not only learn your industry, but to also learn about emerging technology.

Cons

Expect extremely long hours.

Pros

Very supportive and encouraging work environment; lots of great role models who invest time in developing others; still learning new things all the time despite working for the company for > five years and remain challenged and engaged in my role.

Cons

A fast-paced environment which can be very busy at times - however, the strong sense of camaraderie and supportive environment prevent this from becoming too overwhelming.
