Good benefits, but toxic leadership and high demands

Pros

Benefits are good, RRSP matching is good

Cons

Where do I begin. Senior/executive leadership have zero interest in the wellbeing of their staff. Growth is too fast and they are expecting higher outputs with zero changes to technology or process and with less staff. People continually throw each other under the bus to get ahead. Senior management fosters a toxic work place with other departments being used as scapegoats for poor results. Overtime is essentially expected due to the continuous lack of staff.

Pros

Great benefits and bonus structure if you hit targets!

Cons

The organization has become a political minefield. Diversity is a joke.

Pros

Company culture at the employee/colleague level is generally great. We have a lot of fun, people are really nice and friendly, and very professional. I've legitimately elevated my skills/experience by working with so many talented people.

Cons

Leadership always seems to suck (apart from maybe my direct manager, who is a bit of an outlier). They make poor decisions, they communicate poorly, they tend to speak in condescending ways, and they're just generally bad personalities to work with/under. Hierarchies are enforced and input from employees doesn't seem considered or respected, regardless of skills/experience. It's a lot of politics/positioning and attempts to blame others without publicly pointing fingers. Every year we do a re-structuring of some sort, but nothing changes. There's also been very limited opportunities for actual career growth/advancement (ie. responsibilities, title, salary), despite opportunities to grow skillsets.
