Pros

The best reasons to work for Raytheon SAS would be for the pay, location, and if you don't want to work hard. I worked in LA where it never rains and is always sunny. The company offers flex time so you get every other friday off. Also if you aren't a early person, you can come in later and stay later.

Cons

The downsides of working at Raytheonn SAS is you aren't challenged at all. You don't see much of your manager. My manager was in a seperate building and didn't have any engineering experience. If you aren't a go getter and don't take charge of your career you can get left behind in this huge company.

Pros

Employment here is best used as a stepping stone to better employment elsewhere. Work is bid at extremely low prices, opening the door for young (cheap) and eager (long hours) employees. You could get a position here which you may not be able to obtain at another firm allowing you to learn a great deal in a short amount of time.

Cons

Very limited advancement opportunities. Poor salary's. Compartmentalized organization. Distant management. Compensation is top heavy. RTSC is the only Raytheon Company that does not engage in profit sharing or other means of recognizing the workforce while Management receives extremely large bonus's.

Pros

Only defense work available in Indianapolis. Regarding potential earnings, one would be better off working for one of the subcontractors that sub to RTSC Indianapolis: Northrop Grumman and SAIC.

Cons

1. No technical career path available 2. Promotions take years and pay scale flattens after 5 years 3. This environment can be frustrating for intrapreneurs - fast movers
