Pros

Good salaries and benefits package. Beautiful offices around the world. A dedicated team who will work themselves into the ground.

Cons

The management only care about profit with little interest in their employees well being. Heavy workloads and an expectation to work during weekends and annual leave.

Thank you for your review. It's great to hear the salaries and our whole benefits package works well for you. Yes, you're right, we have amazing offices in more than 20 countries across the globe and our people are awesome. I am not sure how you know the featured review is from our CEO's PA as all reviews are anonymous. The UK featured review says he/she is a colleague in Newcastle, whereas Stephen's PA works in London, so I would say it's not from his PA. At Sage we recognise our people are amazing; we couldn't produce the awesome products without them, we could not sell the software without our fantastic sales crew and couldn't support them without the incredible people who are there all the time to ensure our business builders have total and utter dedication from our colleagues. At Sage we can’t promise an easy ride but it’ll be a rewarding one and leaving your comfort zone will help you grow in belief and as a person. From our new mentoring programme, to Sage live TV, to Linda.com development portal, plus the ShareSave scheme being rolled out globally and lots of other exciting events to be announced soon, there's never been a better time to join Sage.

Pros

People in Sage are generally decent looking to progress themselves. Facilities right through to HR are amazing and the new office is fantastic

Cons

Sage has been a fantastic place to work every single individual worked together. However in the past 12-18 months things have changed drastically. HR is currently being run completely from the UK which means they are not easily accessible and they are not close enough to some of the things that happen. Leadership are floating on cloud 9. They constantly talk about how great we are, meanwhile the people on the front line are drowning not only from volume and complaints about the product but also from the harassment and bullying enforced from management. Success is not celebrated but failure is constantly rubbed in people's faces even when it is something outside of their control. Employees are exposed to a culture of fear to the point that they have been told not to speak to HR any more. They are told on a regular basis they are replaceable. When certain issues have been investigated by HR they have been brushed under the mat and instead Sage continues to hemeriage talented individuals and destroy the amazing brand they once had. Certain members of the leadership team get by through meddling in lies and intimidating others. The latest product "Sage Live" is not market ready and customers hate it however their feedback is being ignored and management continue to hail it as the best accountancy product on the market. It's no wonder Xero are Doing so well. Face the hard truths and tackle them head on instead of pretending everything is ok.

Pros

-Nice offices depending on where you're located -Benefits are great considering other non-startup company -Atmosphere, while tense because of restructuring, is fairly laid back -Your co-workers are among the best you'll work with, some managers however....*shrugs*

Cons

-Work-life balance is a joke (don't be sick too many times or have serious health issues or you'll find yourself in trouble fairly quickly). Also new provider for Disability will only call at the end of their day, nearly insuring denied claims. -Managers and Upper management are fairly unresponsible to criticism. To the point of taking it personally. -Some metrics that we're measured on are out of our control and even after multiple complaints, there's been no announced changes -Promotion seems to be hit or miss depending on managers, time of year, budget, random chance of wind. -You will spend more time justifying your job actions than actually doing your job. -No ability to learn unless its on your time (Hint: see above bullet on if you think you're able to do that) -Things change on a whim, sometimes several times in a day. You may find yourself doing something you're not trained for and expected to triage.
