Pros

Dev centric company Lots of opportunities for devs like research, certifications, trainings, etc

Cons

You must be willing to sell your soul to survive with this kind of environment It was just my 2nd week and my teammate shouted at me already for not following the instructions that he did NOT provided to me completely Lots of opportunities BUT toxic culture Toxic HR and toxic management (PH). Mental health of the employees is not a priority. If you resign because your mental health is at stake, that will not matter to them. They would still convince you over and over again to stay without considering your state. The Koreans tho are friendly.

Pros

Samsung make amazing products but: * in Australia don't care about staff, partners or customers. Its about Revenue $ and Bonus time for SLT. * They have limited green credentials as a manufacturer and should be doing more for the environment.

Cons

* With a deeply entrenched Korean expat Management system, there is zero opportunity for growth, ever. * Senior Management Team who use bullying tactics and coercion on staff to achieve sales results to drive their quarterly bonus payouts. * Male dominated environment complete with matching egos, there is little to no female leaders who are advocating change in the structure. * While pay is average, you will hand over your soul in exchange and demanded of to compromise your ethics and morals daily, all to make $$$ and profits. * Life work balance is non existent, forget about support if you have a family. * No people care factor: During the pandemic, staff were not supported at all. - Without so much as a phone call to check on my wellbeing, in multiple lockdowns from my direct manager. - Smartwatches were provided to staff in September21 but in exchange a linkedin social post was demanded by SLT "to show how much they care" on social media. *The Korean Leadership view is that Australians are lazy. Don't work here if you are looking for a supportive organisation who invests in staff.

Pros

Hard to get fired at

Cons

Management from Headquarters to VPs to Dispatchers is horrible. No respect. Pay is not good. Not enough staff since people keep quitting. I would not recommend working here until they start to bring in better leaders to the company that understands respect.
