Pros

Smart and dedicated people to work with on the technical side.

Cons

1. The new BU CEO (not Roland Busch) in the US, has zero sense of how business works in the US and is involved at every level in micromanaging everyone. 2. Division is headed for a shut down in a year due to lack of new sales and zero customer focus. Most customers (and employees) are going to a competition (OSI). While I jumped ship, here is a PSA - do not join Digital Grid for any role if you love your life even a little.

Pros

Fringe benefits are good I think.

Cons

As you are a vendor providing analytics and development services to clients, all of your time will be at client side working. Office provided by client side is cramped and stuffy as there are too many Siemens' employees trying to work in a space that is clearly too small. There are not enough PCs and chairs to use and you have to wait your turn if they are all occupied. As client information is classified, you can only use their PC and intranet for coding and analysis and you can't save your work externally to do on your own laptop at home. Their PCs also have no internet access and any surfing has to be done on your phone or laptop if you need to reference learning materials online. A horrible working environment in my opinion.

Pros

The salary and benefits were good.

Cons

My supervisor would ask me to date him after work and on weekends. He would also ask me to come into his office and close the door. He would touch my hand. I would pull my hand away. In addition to refusing to respond to physical overtures, I also refused to meet him after work or on weekends. Then, after a satisfactory job review from him, this supervisor began complaining about my job performance. This ultimately resulted in my dismissal. And, I was told he was dismissed. But at the time, I felt there was no protection from this type of harassment.
