Great benefit plan - retirement, 401K, comprehensive medical and dental program, stable company

Cons

The company culture is far too conservative, the corporate office lacks personality, office is a depressing environment of bland cubicles, zero flexibility on work schedules, lack of fun in the work place, outdated dress code, very corporate feel

Pros

The UPS brand is a strong brand that is well known and well respected which drives customers into your store.

Cons

UPS will send sales people after your business customers and offer them the same shipping rates that you pay as a franchisee. I lost one that spent $3,000 per month in my store. The last straw for me was when they told me to take down the American flag that I had displayed in my store...shame on you UPS!

-Great coworkers and boss. -Learn beneficial things about the shipping industry. -Interaction with many business people. -Good hours (No late nights)

Cons

No real room for growth. I have been a manager for a few years with no real opportunity for advancement (unless I want to buy the store). No monetary incentive past hourly wage.
