Pros

It seems that UBS Global Asset Management and UBS, in general, go to great lengths to admit their mistakes and move forward. Even though UBS has recently suffered a tarnished reputation, I have not been witness to any unethical or questionable actions in my division. The firm and the people within my division have made great efforts to build a culture of inclusion and openess. UBS Global Asset Management tries to obtain and keep talented individuals.

Cons

I would like entire firm to get a better hold of the actions of questionable individuals and/or business practices. I think UBS has already begun to have better oversight. I simply hope this becomes an ongoing practice.

Pros

As a financial advisor that was in a company that was purchased by UBS, I had no choice but to stay. One I was able to leave I did, since I did not like to have to push internal funds.

Cons

They have the same issues as any overly large financial insititution; unless you are extremely..I mean extremely wealthy, you will not get as good as service that you would from your local, smaller financial institution. This is one the main reasons that I left. I would rather be able to work with my clients and help ensure their financial success based upon my knowledge, rather than some stuffed shirt.

Pros

Good benefits. Offices are nice. Company cafeteria.

Cons

Horrible management. Cronyism and nepotism are more important than competence. Morale is low because most people know you are judged more on sucking up to management than on job performance. Managers are teflon coated and can blame all problems on subordinates and senior management doesn't care enough to investigate causes of poor performance. Serious ethics problems throughout the firm.
