Pros

It is an alright job if you are looking for seasonal work. It is also a great start if you are looking to work full time with UPS. Many drivers started out as a driver helper. Some drivers are fun to work with. In some cases the driver will pick you up from your house every day and you will end up delivering in your neighborhood.

Cons

Since the economy is in the tank and there are plenty of people looking for work, they lowered the pay for the position from around $11 to just above minimum wage. They make you pay union dues, but what is the point of joining the union when you are only working there for 1-6 weeks. Also, some centers would pay more for their driver helpers than others, even though the centers were 20 miles apart.

Pros

The hourly wages for Drivers are very competitive, and for recent graduates not sure what to use their degree for, UPS has some very attractive positions. The benefits and pay are quite lucrative, especially for the simple tasks associated with the position. It's a very fast-paced job.

HR personal are incompetent Some positions are looked down upon
